Debriefing Forum of Indonesian Heads of Mission – “Indonesia’s Economic Diplomacy in the Latin American Region”

Bandung, 4 November 2025 – The Strategic Agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (BSKLN), in collaboration with Parahyangan Catholic University, organized the Debriefing Forum for Indonesian Heads of Mission, with the theme “Indonesia’s Economic Diplomacy in the Latin American Region.” The forum was held in a hybrid format from the Audio-Visual Room of FISIP UNPAR and BSKLN’s YouTube channel.

The forum opened with a speech from the Head of the Foreign Policy Strategy Agency, Muhammad Takdir, delivered online, followed by remarks from the University Secretary, Sylvia Yazid, S.IP., MPPM., Ph.D., representing UNPAR Rector Prof. Ir. Tri Basuki Joewono, Ph.D. Speakers included Muhammad Anshor, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Chile (2019–2025), and Major General (Ret.) Dr. Imam Eddy Mulyono, M.Sc., MSS., Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Venezuela, concurrently accredited to Dominica, Grenada, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago (2020–2025).

The discussion session also featured Prof. Dra. Sukawarsini Djelantik, M.Int.S., Ph.D., a lecturer in International Relations at UNPAR, who provided an academic perspective on Indonesia’s economic diplomacy in Latin America. The forum was moderated by Leonard F. Hutabarat, Ph.D., former Consul General of Indonesia in Toronto, Canada (2018–2021). The forum concluded with remarks from the Head of the Asia-Pacific and Africa SKK Center, Vahd Nabyl A. Mulachela (UNPAR IR Alumni 1997). Participants included the Secretary of BSKLN, Yosep Trianugra Tutu, and the BSKLN team, lecturers from SHI and MHI UNPAR, and students from various backgrounds.
