Discussion on the Role of Women in the 1955 Asian-African Conference with Elisabeth Dewi, Ph.D. and A. A. Sagung Dyah A. N. A., S.IP., M.Hub.Int.

On 21 April 2025, two UNPAR International Relations lecturers served as speakers at Reflections on the Bandung Spirit: The Role of Women in the 1955 Asian-African Conference, held at the Gallery Room of the Asian-African Conference Museum (MKAA) in Bandung.

Elisabeth Dewi, Ph.D., and A. A. Sagung Dyah A. N. A., S.IP., M.Hub.Int., presented findings from their joint research highlighting the role of women in the 1955 Asian-African Conference. Their research, which had previously been published in Majalah Parahyangan, explains that women played an important role in the social and cultural aspects throughout the conference.

Quoting from Majalah Parahyangan, Elisabeth and Dyah emphasized that women were crucial actors in informal diplomacy by serving as agents of soft-power diplomacy.
