On 26 February 2025, a Negotiation Training session was held at the PPAG Building, UNPAR. The training was conducted by the UNPAR International Relations (HI UNPAR) faculty team for the Bandung City Research and Development Agency (Bappelitbang) to enhance negotiation, public speaking, and communication skills. The session was facilitated by ten HI UNPAR facilitators and attended by twenty participants from Bappelitbang Bandung.
The training consisted of three sessions. The first session, delivered by Mr. Rahmat Pramono (Indonesian diplomat), covered negotiation theory, public speaking, and strategic communication. This session aimed to help participants understand the fundamentals of negotiation, public speaking, and strategic communication that can be applied to support Bappelitbang’s duties and functions.
In the second session, participants practiced the public speaking methods they had learned, with direct simulations using case-study–based exercises. The third session continued with a negotiation game simulation.
The training concluded with a reflection on the overall activities, during which participants received direct feedback from the facilitators and Mr. Rahmat Pramono. The program received positive responses from all participants. It is hoped that this training will further strengthen the ongoing collaboration between HI UNPAR and Bappelitbang Bandung, as expressed by Mr. Agus Hidayat, Secretary of Bappelitbang Bandung.
