History of Master Program

The Master’s Program in International Relations (PS MHI) was initially managed under the Graduate School of Parahyangan Catholic University (UNPAR). It was established on February 3, 2009, and began accepting students in the Even Semester of the 2009/2010 academic year before transitioning to the Department of International Relations under the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at UNPAR.

FISIP is the fourth faculty at UNPAR, founded on August 18, 1961. Initially, FISIP consisted of two departments: the Department of Governance, which later became the Department of Business Administration, and the Department of State Governance, which specialized in domestic and international affairs. These specializations eventually evolved into the Department of Public Administration and the Department of International Relations.

In 1984, all faculty activities moved from the Merdeka 30 Campus to the Ciumbuleuit 94 Campus, where the faculty was housed in a separate building from other faculties. By the end of 2014, PS MHI was officially established under Ministerial Decree No. 486/E/O/2014 and began admitting students in 2016 under the Graduate School. In 2024, PS MHI received an “Excellent” accreditation from BAN-PT.
