PROFILE

Putu Agung Nara Indra Prima Satya, or Nara, joined the Department of International Relations at Parahyangan Catholic University (HI UNPAR) in 2017. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Department of International Relations at Gadjah Mada University (HI UGM) in 2011. He then completed his master’s degree at the Master of Peace and Conflict Resolution program at Gadjah Mada University in 2015.

Before joining UNPAR as a lecturer, Nara worked as a writer for the national online media outlet Tirto.id, as well as a research assistant for a number of research projects under the auspices of the Institute of International Studies (IIS) UGM, the Center for Conflict and Peace Studies UGM, the Center for Population and Policy Studies UGM, the Center for Asia-Pacific Studies UGM, and PolGov UGM.

Nara’s research interests include conflict and peace studies, identity issues, particularly the relationship between the majority and minority groups, populism and democracy, religious radicalism, and studies on the United States. Nara teaches courses such as International History, International Politics, Conflict and Peace Studies, and Identity in International Relations.
